Terry A. Clawson is an English former professional Rugby League World Cup winning footballer of the 1960s, '70s and '80s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, and at club level for Featherstone Rovers, Bradford Northern, Leeds, Oldham, York, Wakefield Trinity, and Hull, playing at Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums. He is the father of Bradford Bulls strength and conditioning coach Martin Clawson.
Terry Clawson won caps for Great Britain while at Featherstone Rovers in 1962 against France (2 matches), while at Leeds in the 1972 Rugby League World Cup against Australia, France, and Australia, while at Oldham in 1973 against Australia (3 matches), and in 1974 against France (2 matches), Australia (2 matches), and New Zealand (2 matches).[1]
During the 1970s Clawson captain-coached in Australia's Newcastle Rugby League with the Souths club.[2]
In 2010 Clawson was named in a South Newcastle team of the century.[3]
